After the fire at Wang Fuk Court, which severely affected seven blocks of the estate in Tai Po, the Hong Kong community has come together to support the families who have been displaced. Various organisations have set up collection points for essential supplies. Here’s how you can contribute.

1. Red Cross

The non-profit organisation will collect essential items and deliver them directly to collection points in Tai Po. It will accept new or like-new items like blankets, undergarments, pyjamas, charging tools, toiletries, bottled water and non-perishable snacks.

2. The Hong Kong Council of Social Service

The HKCSS has organised a resource coordination group, composed primarily of NGOs in Tai Po, and is accepting cash and essential donations to ensure support reaches victims of the fire.

3. Feeding HK

Feeding HK collects quality surplus food and redistributes it to charities across the city. Residents can donate food at their warehouse in Yau Tong. They welcome ready-to-eat items like milk, crackers, noodles and breakfast cereal.
