It's small, soft, and it eats tiny bits of plastic.
Scientists at Sichuan University in southwest China say they have made a self-propelled robot fish that can wiggle its body, flap its fins and swim around to suck "microplastics" out of the ocean.
They say the robot can also "self-heal" and absorb microplastics even when it is damaged.
For now, the 1.3cm robot only collects microplastics in shallow water.
But Wang Yuyan, one of the scientists, says the team is working on new materials that could work in deeper water. And maybe one day it could help stop the pollution too.
Their next step will be testing to see if the robot can work at a greater depth to deal with the plastic waste in the deep sea.
