Mikaela Wong (aged 8), St Paul’s Convent School (Primary Section)

This summer, I was rehearsing for a play called A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the world-famous playwright, William Shakespeare. I was cast as Peaseblossom, one of Titania’s fairies. Titania is the queen of the fairies, and Peaseblossom is the only fairy who does not have her wings. It’s been great fun playing her!

This course has enhanced my acting and speaking skills. I have gained a deeper understanding of Shakespearean English, while learning new songs and becoming more confident!

Isaac Kang (aged 10), Renaissance College

My art teacher created a story about why we should be kind. In this story, Rodney is a writer who earns a lot of money, which he stores in a jar. One day, he travels to Los Angeles in the United States and sees many homeless people with torn jeans and ripped shirts. So he uses his money to buy 100 pairs of jeans for them.

Something you can learn from this is to use your money wisely, not buying games but instead doing something good. We can also make a change to help people around the world.

Amy Fu Yu-xue (aged 18), Fung Kai No 1 Secondary School

I am very happy to be able to return to campus. What is even more pleasing is that my friends and I are in the same class. Having my friends with me reduces the challenges of adapting to a new school year, and it alleviates my heart’s fear of the unknown. I hope to have a wonderful campus life this year.
