Mikaela Wong (Aged 8), St Paul’s Convent School (Primary Section)

I joined the Chess and Board Game Club at school, and it’s been brilliant! I’ve made new friends who also love chess, and we have had a blast playing together.

My favourite is International Chess because you have to think ahead and plan your moves. It helps me concentrate, and it’s excellent brain training that you can play anywhere!

You should try chess and other board games like Rummikub and Ticket to Ride. They’re really enjoyable and bring people together.

Let’s put down our phones and turn off the computer. It’s time for some chess fun!

Ng Tsz-lam (Aged 9), St Stephen’s Girls’ Primary School

I will tell you about the best places to visit in Hong Kong.

Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is a giant bronze statue that is 10 minutes from Ngong Ping village. But if you want to get a closer view, you must climb up lots of stairs.

The M+ museum has many interesting exhibits and a big field where I can run, jump and play with my friends. There is also a shop where you can buy stuff to remember your visit.

The Wetland Park is a great place where you can see a lot of wildlife, including butterflies, dragonflies and amphibians. The themed galleries, 3D cinema, and indoor swamp play area are very fun.

“Happy” is a simple word to pronounce and spell. But do you know what happiness really is?

You may think this word just describes what you feel. But it can also describe friendship and love! After reading this letter, have you learned more about what it means to be happy? Do you think you are happy every day?
