Zoe Pang Sum-yu (aged 11), SKH Kei Wing Primary School

If I could meet one historical figure, it would be William Shakespeare. I’ve always wondered, is love really more powerful than death? I’ve had more thoughts, especially after reading the book Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo and Juliet were deeply in love, but their families were against it. Yet, they still held a wedding without letting their parents know. In the end, they even sacrificed themselves for each other. I burst into tears while reading the story. I realised that love is way stronger than death. Thank you for your book, Mr Shakespeare.

If I could change something about Hong Kong, I would improve its parks and green spaces. While Hong Kong is a busy city with many tall buildings, it also has beautiful nature. However, many people find it hard to enjoy these natural areas because they are far away. By adding more parks and community gardens, people would have places to relax and play.

These green spaces would encourage families to spend time outdoors, exercise, and enjoy nature. It would also help connect neighbours and build a stronger community.

Last summer holiday, I had a great time exploring New Zealand with my family. It was very exciting because my cousins from America joined us too!

Every part of the place was beautiful, and I miss it so much. The sky was clear with different colours. Green meadows were full of sheep and cows like in a fairy tale. There was a crystal-clear blue lake, and many more beautiful sights, like a dormant volcano and redwood trees. Unforgettably, in the dark cave of fireflies, it seemed as though thousands of stars were overhead. I tried snowboarding for the first time too, and it was really fun.
