Following the deadly fire at Wang Fuk Court that devastated seven blocks of the estate in Tai Po on Wednesday, the Hong Kong community has swiftly rallied to support displaced families, with organisations establishing collection points for essential supplies.
Here’s where you can offer your donations – in cash or kind – to aid the relief effort.
1. Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po
Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu on Thursday announced a HK$300 million support fund to aid the affected residents and recovery work.
The fund will welcome donations from individuals and private organisations via the following accounts:

2. Red Cross
The Hong Kong Red Cross is organising an urgent donation drive to provide immediate support to those affected by the fire. The non-profit organisation will collect essential items and deliver them directly to collection points in Tai Po.
It will accept new or like-new items such as blankets, undergarments, pyjamas, charging tools, toiletries, bottled water and non-perishable snacks.
3. SPCA
As Hong Kong’s largest independent animal welfare charity, the SPCA will offer help to residents and their pets who have been affected or displaced by the fire.
Residents seeking temporary shelter for their pets who are in stable condition can go to the SPCA’s Tsing Yi centre and set up pet claiming areas at Tai Po’s Kwong Fuk estate.
The SPCA will also share regular updates to help find the owners of pets rescued from Wang Fuk Court. To help the charity’s efforts, donations can be made online here.

4. Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council
In light of the tragedy, the organisation has set up the “SKH Act of Love 1126 Fire Disaster Support Fund”.
All monetary donations will be used to offer cash grants or essential supplies to affected individuals and families, to help them cover daily necessities, medical costs and temporary accommodation.

5. Feeding HK
An accredited member of the Global FoodBanking Network, Feeding HK is a local organisation that collects quality surplus food and redistributes it to charities across the city.
It is requesting immediate funds to help purchase food and personal care items, as well as meal and supermarket vouchers.
Residents can also donate food at the Feeding HK warehouse. Ready-to-eat items such as crackers, cup noodles, breakfast cereal and milk for those who need quick, no cook options will be welcomed.
In addition, long-dated food items, such as rice, canned goods and other packaged, shelf-stable products, will be essential for families in the weeks and months ahead as they begin to recover.
