Parrot: I would invent a magical bicycle that could fly. This bicycle would also be able to talk to me about everything, offering comfort if I felt lonely or if I was crying. I hope that this bicycle would become my trusted confidante, always there to listen to my deepest thoughts.
Pelican: A pen-sized, sleek tracker with tiny adhesive stickers. You could stick them on items you’re most likely to lose, even earrings and hair clips. Sync it to your phone; it uses spatial audio and precise cues to end blind rummaging.
Toucan: Have you ever been frustrated by traffic and long commute times? Well, I definitely have. It feels like time is standing still. That is why I would definitely invent a teleporter, a fantastic gadget that could solve these problems by simply transporting the user to the designated destination in a heartbeat.
Seagull: I would invent a portable, pocket-sized device that could fast-forward time, but only from your perspective, without altering real time. It would make boring tasks, like commuting or waiting in line, feel like seconds. This would possibly make life easier and more enjoyable.
Kiwi: I would invent a cyber pet. Space in Hong Kong is as scarce as hen’s teeth, and many families have trouble living in their homes even without the addition of a pet. A cyber pet would be something digital that does not take up much space. No matter whether it’s on one’s phone, computer or even a mini LED screen, it could bring companionship and reduce one’s stress and anxiety. I hope my gadget can make the best of the tight space situation in Hong Kong.
Flamingo: A holographic phone that differs from traditional mobile phones. It would look like a screen protector, but with a simple tap, you would not only be able to use a variety of built-in apps, but also generate 3D images in front of your eyes. I believe this gadget will create a breakthrough in technology and users will be astonished by these holograms.
Owl: Do you ever feel like there isn’t enough time? From homework to daily tasks and chores, we all have various things to accomplish every day. Sometimes, the overwhelming pressure can leave us feeling suffocated. This is where the time-stopping watch comes in handy. With this little gadget, dreams of having extra time before a deadline can be turned into reality. With a single click on the side, the flow of time will freeze, with you being the only exception once per day. Using this ability, you can finish your soon-due writing, save a boiling pot of mess or even avoid being late. Not only does it bail us out of critical situations, but it also comes with a strict limit of use, making it a perfect gadget in life.
Woodpecker: I would invent a portable cloning machine. It would be the size of a book. This machine would scan the item that you want to clone using a mini scanner. The screen would show it. Then, it would produce the scanned item. I hope it would help the community.
Hummingbird: If I could invent any gadget, it would be something that combines practical help with a touch of wonder – something I would call the “Harmony Band”. So what’s the Harmony Band? It’s a combination of instant language and emotion translation. I wouldn’t just translate words, but also the emotion and cultural context behind them – helping people truly understand each other, whether they’re speaking different languages or just struggling to connect. It would be subtle and wearable.
Peacock: I would invent a Mental Harmony Device – a wearable gadget that monitors the emotional state via biometric data. It would use gentle vibrations, soothing sounds or light therapy to help users manage anxiety and fatigue. This device would be capable of handling modern stresses, calming emotions and strengthening mental well-being.
