Pizza: If given the opportunity, I would swap brains with Stephen Hawking. It would be incredible to perceive the world through his intellect while navigating the physical limitations he faced. Experiencing his thoughts about the universe could provide me with valuable insights that would benefit my studies. Learning how he accomplished so much despite his disabilities could inspire me to confront my own challenges and expand my view of the potential of the human mind. Furthermore, if Stephen Hawking had my body in the present day, he could make even more breakthroughs with today’s advanced technology, such as artificial intelligence, which had not reached its current stage in his lifetime.
Taco: If I could swap minds with anyone for a day, I would choose Elon Musk. Imagine waking up with the ability to understand rockets, electric cars and artificial intelligence (AI) as if they were video games I had already mastered. For one day, I would experience how he tackles problems that seem impossible to others and how he maintains focus when making decisions that impact the future of technology and space. Most importantly, I want to see how his mind transforms wild, risky ideas into actionable plans rather than letting doubts hold him back. When I return to my own mind, I strive to adopt that way of thinking so I can approach my school projects and future inventions with the same fearless, creative attitude.
Chicken wing: I would choose Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty, the genius grandfather of the main character, Morty. Although Rick is often grumpy, mean, rude and sadistic, he actually has a softer side. He can invent many things that people desire, such as time machines, laser guns and even creatures, but those are just some small tricks. I relate to him in wanting to find something more than what people typically desire. With his intelligence and creativity, he would be the ideal choice for a day-long brain swap. For Rick, even a single day to invent or change something in the universe feels like an eternity – perhaps long enough to change my destiny after the brain-swapping ability expires.
Siu mai: If I could switch minds with someone for a day, I would choose Hedy Lamarr. She is my ideal pick because she was not only an incredibly beautiful movie star but also a brilliant and creative thinker. While people admired her glamorous appearance, they often overlooked the genius mind beneath it. She developed a secret communication system for guiding torpedoes during World War II. Her invention was so innovative that it wasn’t utilised until later, and now it plays a vital role in technologies like Wi-fi and Bluetooth. I would love the opportunity to be in Hedy Lamarr’s mind for a day, to experience what it is like to exceed people’s expectations. Just think: you would be the person who invented Wi-fi and still have to go home and tackle your maths homework.
Burger: Swapping brains is not just about identity; it is also about how one chooses to use that identity. I could take advantage of a billionaire, a politician or a world leader, but even temporary swaps can cause lasting damage. Instead, I would pick a random adult – not for their position, but for their freedom. For one day, I wouldn’t be bound by teenage rules. I would enjoy breakfast out, visit a coffee shop without needing permission and perhaps sit at a bar having non-alcoholic drinks to observe my surroundings. It is not about personal gain or exploiting power; it is about experiencing what life is like as an adult. After all, who has not longed to experience adulthood, even just for a day?
Hot dog: If I could swap brains with anyone for a day, it would be Donald Trump. Experiencing his thought processes and motives, especially regarding his frequent interventions in other countries and the initiation of conflicts, would be unforgettable. Gaining insight into his mindset could help me understand the complexities and factors that influence major international decisions. This experience might deepen my appreciation for the importance of peace, as understanding his approach could serve as a powerful negative example of how to balance power, interests and global stability. By examining his decision-making, I may uncover why violent conflicts often plague the world and why the US is often viewed as the “public enemy” globally.
Fries: If I had to choose someone to switch brains with, I would choose my mother. I want to understand her struggles because she is a very strong person with an amazing personality. I admire her mindset; she has so much determination to accomplish things that I would find challenging without her level of independence. Choosing to swap brains with a parent can also give insight into their worries about you. For instance, many teenagers might think their parents are overprotective or excessive, but seeing things from their perspective can help us understand how much they care and the emotions they experience in those situations. By doing this, we can foster a better understanding of their feelings.
