Childhood games play a crucial role in shaping memories and social skills. While some are quite popular around the world – hopscotch and cat’s cradle, for example – others can be unique to each place.

With just a pen and paper, you and a friend can create your own battlegrounds in the classic Hong Kong game, “peace in the land”, which is an imaginative spin-off of rock-paper-scissors. Try going to war with your fingers, or running towards a “boat”.
