PJ, Jiseok and Chanyeon debuted in April 2024. PJ became popular as a YouTuber who educated viewers about hearing disabilities. Chanyeon previously worked as a hearing loss and balance healthcare professional. Jiseok was a professional ski racer.
For their precise K-pop choreography and music, Big Ocean uses special technologies. The members wear vibrating smartwatches that pulse on their wrists in time to the music. They also use devices that show timing cues on monitors to help them stay in sync. This approach is a big step forward for South Korea.
