A mysterious iron sphere has washed up on a Japanese beach. It has baffled the authorities.
The metal ball, around 1.6 metres in diameter, appeared on Enshuhama Beach in the coastal city of Hamamatsu.
A passer-by reported it to the police on Saturday, and they came to look at it. But one local man said that the ball had been there for more than a month.
The beach was fenced off, and officials in protective clothing were sent to inspect it.
Masaki Matsukawa, from the city government, says that they still don't know exactly what the rusty object is.
Some people think it could be a buoy. This would make sense because it has two metal handles sticking out of it.
However, the object has sent social media users into a flurry of ideas.
Some people say that it is probably one of the orbs from the manga series Dragon Ball. Other people disagree. They say it is clearly a reptile egg ready to hatch Godzilla!
A bomb disposal team arrived, and after they did an X-ray, they said that there is no risk of an explosion.
The sphere will be stored in case someone comes to claim it.
