A boy in Shenzhen saved up his pocket money to give his pet puppy a party for its first birthday on New Year's Day.
The stray dog was rescued by the boy and his father after they found it in a car park last year. They were told by a vet it was around three months old at the time. Because he doesn't know the dog's exact date of birth, the boy chose New Year's Day for its birthday.
To mark the occasion, the boy used 100 yuan he had saved up to buy a burger, a tiger-shaped cake, fried chicken nuggets and a birthday hat for the dog to wear for the birthday celebration.
