Candy taster: the sweetest job in the world

Would you like the chance to earn money by tasting more than 3,500 candies, all from the comfort of your home? This sounds like a pretty sweet deal!

Candy Funhouse, an online sweet shop in Canada, is looking for a "Chief Candy Officer" to lead a team of taste testers.

"Last year we were looking for Candyologists, our original taste testers, and we now have three staff on board," says Vanessa Rebelo from Candy Funhouse.

"Now we are on the hunt for our Chief Candy Officer who will guide our Candyologists down the sweetest path possible!"

Job tasks will include approving new products, holding staff meetings, being the chief taster, as well as "all things fun."

What job skills are needed? You must have "golden taste buds" and an "obvious sweet tooth".

The offer is open to anyone aged five and older. Candy Funhouse says it has received more than 100,000 replies in two weeks.

The job offer has been a big hit with adults and children alike. One dad said that his eight-year-old daughter had written a CV just to apply for the job. (Your CV is a list of all your skills and achievements).

"It's official, she has applied for the job. Thank you for helping her learn about hard work and the importance of a strong CV, even if she's only eight," he said.

Once they are chosen, the lucky new officer will be given lots of "taste training."

And of course, the company will pay for any visits to the dentist!
