A woman in Shanghai, China was confused about why her rubber ducks were disappearing. The mystery was solved when she took her pet bulldog to the vet for a scan.
The dog’s owner is named Liu. She often gets small rubber ducks as gifts and gives them to her dog to play with.
“Some other toys had also mysteriously disappeared before. I began to suspect that the dog might have swallowed them,” Liu said.
A CAT scan showed that she was right, so she sent her dog for surgery right away.
Vets were surprised to find 11 rubber ducks inside its stomach. Some of them even kept their original shape and bright yellow colour.
The bulldog has fully recovered from the operation.
