At a park in China’s Hebei province, children have been offering bananas to a human in a Monkey King costume. Video clips of this went viral on social media.
The man playing the character is surnamed Yu. In the video, he is performing a story about how the Monkey King was buried under a mountain for 500 years.
Several children offer Yu items such as biscuits, crisps, instant noodles, and most commonly, bananas.
“I’m starving. So delicious,” Yu says.
