Naadam is an annual festival celebrated during midsummer in Mongolia. The festival’s three games include Mongolian wrestling, horse racing and archery.
In traditional Mongolian wrestling, competitors lose if they touch the ground with any part of their body other than their feet or hands. An “encourager” sings a song of praise for the winning wrestler.
