Smart technology has changed our world. Our smartphones are miniature computers in our hands. Artificial intelligence chatbots can answer questions creatively. They can also create incredible images and artwork. Can you imagine what technology we will have in 10 years?
With all of these changes, we need to be aware of the problems that can happen.
For example, many people cannot stop playing games or using social media. Artificial intelligence cannot always be trusted to give accurate information. We must be smart about how we use technology.

What are the biggest problems that artificial intelligence can create? Write down two ideas on your piece of paper. For example, it could be dangerous if kids use AI to do their homework because they won’t know how to think for themselves.

Now, consider two rules students should follow to avoid these problems. For example, kids should not use AI for assignments.

Think about two ways that AI can be helpful and how you can encourage others to use it in this way. Use these ideas to come up with two rules for using AI responsibly.

On your poster-sized paper, write down your four rules in big letters. Then, add some drawings and decorations. Place these rules in a place where other people can see them.

Choose a room at home, school, or the mall. Take your notebook with you.

Take notes on the different types of technology you see, from smartphones to escalators and more. What do they do? How do they make our lives better or worse?

Choose one of those pieces of technology. How could it change in 10 years? How could it become more useful or fun?

Create a drawing comparing the current technology and how you imagine it will look in the future. Make it colourful and label the differences.
