Janice Chan (Aged 7), Kowloon Tong School (Primary Section)

My favourite sport is ice skating. I want to be an ice skating coach when I grow up.
I have been learning this sport since I was five. I still remember how I kept falling in my first lesson. It was painful, but it was fun. My coach says: “No pain, no gain.” I am now at the delta level and still have a lot to learn if I want to become a professional skater. I love the feeling of spinning and jumping on the ice. It is really fun to glide along.
I am trying my best and practise every weekend. I hope to share the joys of ice skating with everyone.

My two new pet cats are more active at night than day. When I first brought them home, they liked exploring the house. The cats are cute, but I prefer not having my personal space invaded.
The one closer to me is called Pusheen. She is playful, but most of the time she is sleeping in her favourite spot. When I get home from school, I always greet her with five pats on the head.
The cat closer to my sister is Bagel. She likes to scratch random places and people. But if she trusts you, she doesn’t scratch when you pick her up!

I recently joined the Water Supplies Department’s “Excursion with Water Save Dave” at the Tai Po Water Treatment Works.
I learned about the water treatment process, the daily operation of a water treatment centre, as well as the water supply system in Hong Kong. I have gained a lot of knowledge about water resources and will raise awareness about water conservation.
