I highly recommend this book titled Who Was Richard Nixon? It was written by Megan Stine and illustrated by Manuel Gutierrez.

Richard Nixon was an American who joined the US Navy as an officer in the second world war. He later became the country’s vice-president. In 1960, Nixon lost the presidential election to a Democrat named John Fitzgerald Kennedy (also known as JFK).

Finally, in 1969, Nixon became the American president. Unfortunately, in 1972, Nixon committed a crime and covered it up with money and lies. But a special prosecutor found out about his plan.

In 1973, a committee in the House of Representatives started to impeach Nixon. He did not want to be impeached, so he resigned instead. In 1994, Nixon had a stroke and died.

Although this book is not simple to understand, you can quickly learn more about history.
