Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Lesia whose dream was to become a pianist.

However, her mother was sceptical. “No way! You’ve been taking piano classes for years and still can’t pass the second level,” she said. Tears streamed down Lesia’s cheeks as she ran to her room.

Determined to improve, Lesia practised relentlessly, yet she felt her efforts were in vain. Desperate for help, she pleaded for extra piano lessons, but her mother responded harshly, “Do you think I’m rich? Of course not!”

At 14, Lesia had no way to earn money. One night, she lay in bed, torn between wanting to give up and her desire to play the piano.

She decided to ignore her mother’s comments. She was determined to continue playing joyfully and freely.

At school one day, her teacher announced, “If you’d like to join our winter festival to showcase your talents, buy an entry ticket before this Thursday.”

Lesia’s heart raced with excitement as she thought,

“I might have some pocket money for the ticket!”

On the day of the festival, Lesia played confidently.

Her performance impressed her teacher, who gifted her a special present during their next lesson.

Though Lesia never became a professional pianist, she cherished her journey and continued to find joy in playing music.
