Today, on my walk home, I saw a strange-looking rabbit in a dark corner of a street. I decided to follow it. When we took a turn, I saw something bright around the bend.

I tiptoed closer and found a little girl holding a rabbit-shaped light. She had long brown hair and blue eyes. I was about to ask what her name was, but I realised she was busy talking to the rabbit. From listening to the conversation, I could make out that she was called Amy and that the rabbit was her pet.

“Amy!” I called out. She turned around. Her rabbit jumped five feet into the air.

Amy told me that every Friday she would have a special rabbit gathering with a talent show and a carrot feast. She asked if I wanted to join and led me to a tunnel.

To my surprise, there were 50 rabbits in the tunnel – no more, no less. They were white, brown, grey and black.

“Next group. It’s performance time!” Amy yelled. The rabbits cheered and hopped around.

Then, they went on stage, climbing over each other gracefully to stand in formation. It spelled out “RABBIT”.

But all of a sudden, we heard a strange noise that sounded like claws digging into something. Amy, the rabbits and I made our way back above ground. There, we saw three wolves and five eagles – and they were all trying to get us.

As luck would have it, there were also two bicycles parked right in front of us. We each grabbed one, split the rabbits between us – saving all 50 – and sped back to our homes.

As we travelled for a few minutes, we realised we were taking the same route home. That is when we found out we live in the same building.
