I travelled to Morocco, a country in northern Africa, last summer. We stayed in a riad, a traditional Moroccan house with an interior garden. The staff welcomed us with hot Moroccan mint tea served with crumbly almond cookies.
We visited the night market. My brother and I sipped the snail soup. It was fishy and salty. We savoured some traditional cuisine in a restaurant. I really liked the chicken tagine – so tender and scrumptious.
We also visited a mosque and a historic town called the Medina of Fez. What a memorable trip!

Fast, powerful tanks were important in World War II.
After the United States joined the Allies in 1941, Allied troops started using the M4 Sherman tanks, which were made by the US. Meanwhile, Soviet troops, which were part of the Allies, used their outstanding tank: the T-34.
Nazi Germany produced other kinds of tanks: the Panther and Tiger, which had stronger firepower than both the M4 Sherman and the T-34 tanks. But the Allied Powers produced more tanks than Nazi Germany did. As a result, the Panther and Tiger tanks were destroyed by the Allied Powers.

In school, my favourite subject is STEM because it challenges me and it is related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. I think STEM is the most relaxing and interesting subject in our school. When I got my report card from the first term test in Form One, my best result was in STEM, so I like this subject very much.
