I strongly suggest that teachers reduce the amount of homework students receive. I firmly believe that less homework will bring many positive benefits to students and make us happier.
To begin with, less homework will give us more time to rest so that we can have more energy for the next school day. With enough sleep, we will be more attentive in class and not miss any important concepts.
Secondly, less homework will give us more free time to develop ourselves. We can spend time with our family, help with chores, read for pleasure, exercise or explore our hobbies. These experiences teach us valuable lessons that textbooks cannot, helping us grow into well-rounded individuals.
As the saying goes, “I would rather travel 10,000 miles than read 10,000 books.”
Lastly, less homework will reduce pressure and prevent us from feeling overwhelmed. Studies show that too much homework is the main cause of stress for many students. With up to 10 assignments at a time, I feel stressed and tired easily.
I strongly believe that there should be less homework for students. This change will relieve stress, help us enjoy more family time and make us more energetic at school.
