Recently, I read the book Spy School Secret Service by Stuart Gibbs. This book is about a kid named Ben Ripley who tries to thwart an enemy organisation’s evil plan to assassinate the US president. But it is actually a cover for another top-secret mission.
My favourite part was when Erica, Ben’s friend, said: “You’re the one who needs to find hope; you’re going to need it. Because I’m coming for you, Ben. There’s nowhere you can run. There’s nowhere you can hide. I’m going to make it my life’s mission to hunt you down. I will not rest until I find you.”
This was actually a cunning encrypted code to tell Ben to visit the Hope Diamond at the National Museum of Natural History.
My favourite character is Ben because he is intelligent, courageous and has the eyes of a hawk. I really admire him because he saved a lot of people’s lives. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to people who like spies and thrilling stories.
