Our school recently held an “Elderly Easter Surprise” to help students learn the values of care and compassion for the people around us. It was an invaluable experience.
Our principal told us that over the last few years, many young families have migrated overseas, leaving their elderly relatives behind. Through this meaningful activity, we were able to send love to elderly people living alone in our community.

Our teachers worked with the Salvation Army Elderly Centre to arrange for us to visit the centre and give people a surprise box we made. We also performed for them and played fun games together.
Some students visited the homes of the elderly, enabling them to learn more about their living conditions. It also helped them see how important it is to take care of our parents, grandparents, and other older people in our community.
We would like to thank our school for taking us to such a meaningful event.
