Does your dog like fine dining? Does your pooch like posh nosh? Then one American restaurant has just the thing.

At "Dogue" in San Francisco, four-legged friends have their pick of the very best foods available! The menu is designed to please every canine.

During the week, a selection of beautiful pastries are served with "dogguchinos" – creamy drinks especially made for pooches.

On Sundays, Dogue turns into the Bone Appetite Cafe, where dogs can enjoy a three-course menu.

"The look of food is incredibly important," says the chef, Rahmi Massarweh. "We make pastries inspired by some of the finest chefs, some of my favourite chefs in the world."

"You know, we have the saying, 'You eat with your eyes first, before you even take a bite.' For these dog dishes, it's always been my goal to make them look as if I want to eat them," he says.

Other dishes on the menu include gateau with shredded chicken and cream, red rose with wild deer heart, and golden paste cake with organic coconut and honey.

The inspiration for the restaurant came from Rahmi's dog, who doesn't enjoy store-bought food.

Using his chef's know-how, Rahmi began crafting dishes for his dog, using fresh, seasonal food. His dog loved it.

But what about the other four-legged diners? Rahmi says they are impressed too.

"Dogs are amazing, because what you see is what you get, right?" he says. "They don't pretend. If they like it, they like it. If they don't, there's nothing you can do. They're not going to eat it."
