A man in Guangxi was saved an hour after his heart stopped beating.

The man's wife called an ambulance after he passed out at home. When doctors arrived, they found the man had already had a heart attack. The doctors started to resuscitate him in the ambulance on the way to hospital.

The man regained a heartbeat. He is still in hospital now, but he is alive.

The "golden time window" for restarting a heart is only around six minutes. "Usually we try to resuscitate for half an hour and will stop if the result is not good," a doctor says. "In this case, the man's family did not give up hope and we didn't give up either."
