A restaurant hit by severe floods hosted 200 rescue workers at a free dinner to say thanks. Because they had no power or water, the dinner was lit by candlelight.
Big floods hit Zhuozhou in Hebei province after Typhoon Doksuri caused rain that lasted for days. The floods hit nearly 134,000 people in the city.
Many rescue groups arrived at Zhuozhou to help people trapped by the floods. One resident said that the water rose so fast they had no time to react.
To thank the workers, the restaurant decided to feed 200 of them. "Hot food is the best comfort we can give our friends," said Mr Song, the owner.
