A man was arrested in Paris last week after jumping off the Eiffel Tower with a parachute, French police said.
The man, an experienced climber, went to the famous tower early in the morning, at 5.00am.
He was quickly detected by guards, but he still managed to climb to the top before anybody could stop him, carrying his parachute in a backpack.
Once he got near the top of the 330-metre-high tower, he jumped off.
The man landed in a nearby stadium where he was arrested.
“This kind of irresponsible action puts people working below the tower in danger,” said the tower owners.
