It sounds like you really enjoyed your games. When your mum deleted them, it makes sense that you would be upset. Here are some tips to help you deal with this:
1. Find your calm: When you get angry, how does your body react? Does it feel hard to breathe? Do you hold your fists tightly? Try to take some deep breaths. Once you are calmer, you will be able to think more clearly.
2. Think from her perspective: Before talking to your mother, first think about why she wanted to delete your games. Is she worried that you ignore your studies or lose sleep because of your games?
3. Have a calm conversation: Find time for a respectful conversation with your mum. Listen to what she says. Then, explain how you felt when she deleted your games. For example, you can say: “I understand that you’re worried about my gaming. But deleting all my games made me feel like no one listens to what I care about.”
4. Meet in the middle: Look for a solution that both you and your mum can agree on. Perhaps, you can discuss having a time limit for playing games. Maybe you can choose a few of your favourite games to keep.
5. Show responsibility: Follow the solution you decided with your mum. For example, if you play games and still finish your work, she will trust you more in the future.
It is important to discuss your feelings openly with your parents. Hopefully, they also listen to you. But if the fight gets worse and makes you feel bad, talk to another adult you trust. It could be a school counsellor or family member. They can help you find a solution.
