What others see as laziness can actually be a challenge to face together. Here are some ideas to help you understand what you need help with. Share this with your parents so that they can give you more support.

Find your top two subjects. These are the subjects you find easier and more fun. Keep working hard on them! Show your parents your progress in these subjects.

Know the two subjects that you’re OK with. In these areas, you might not be doing badly, but you could use a little more support. Your teachers might want to help, but it can be hard for them to take care of everyone’s needs in a big class. Talk to your teacher about what you can do to improve. You can also ask your parents to help you find videos or books to help you with these subjects.

Identify the two hardest subjects. These are difficult for you, so you need extra help. Tell your parents about these subjects and explain that you might need a tutor.
It can be tough if your parents still don’t understand or support you, especially if they blame you. If this happens, you can go to your teachers for help.
Many schools offer extra help sessions for tough subjects. You can also study with friends who are good at the subjects you find challenging. This way, you can help each other learn.
