A big United Nations climate meeting finished on Sunday with a deal. It will provide money to help poor countries cope with the impact of global warming.

The two-week talks in Egypt were called COP27.Pakistan's climate minister Sherry Rehman said COP27 "responded to the voices of the vulnerable. We have struggled for 30 years on this path, and today this journey has achieved its first positive milestone."

The new "loss and damage fund" will help poorer countries.

The Alliance of Small Island States, made up of islands which are threatened by sea level rise, said the deal was historic. "The agreements made at COP27 are a win for our entire world," said Molwyn Joseph from the alliance.
