Bubble tea, also known as boba tea, is a delicious drink from Taiwan. It was invented by mixing together tea, sugar syrup, milk and ice. Later, chewy tapioca balls were added to create the boba tea loved by many today.
Although this is a tasty treat, it is not a healthy drink because of how much sugar it has. To make the drink healthier, you can ask the bubble tea shop to use less sugar and add non-dairy milk, like soy, almond, coconut or oat milk.
Another option is to make your own at home!
