Difficulty: Explorer (Level 1)
When you think of community heroes, who comes to mind? You might think of firefighters, teachers or doctors. These are all important community heroes because they help keep people safe and healthy.
But have you ever thought about the people who help your community in smaller ways every day?
These people may grow the food we eat. Others drive the buses that help us get where we need to go. Some keep our schools and parks clean or build our homes.
While they may not wear capes, their hard work keeps our community happy and strong.
Community Pizza
Each slice of the pizza represents one community hero. Write down their role and one sentence explaining how they help the community.
Remember, community heroes aren’t just firefighters or doctors. They could be ...
-
bus drivers
-
librarians
-
electricians
-
delivery drivers
