Jocelyn Yow, Independent School Foundation Academy

Film

Raya and the Last Dragon is an animated movie about a girl named Raya. She lost her father to a mysterious force called the Druun, which turns all the living beings in its path into stone. This little girl grows up to become a warrior, and she makes it her mission to save her home and her people. You should watch this film because it is about understanding others and not letting your greed harm others.

Book

The Ogress and the Orphans is about a misunderstood Ogress and 15 orphans who are determined to change their town's perspective. They must work together against the mysterious and manipulative mayor of the town. The children use their bold ideas to change the thinking of the grown-ups and solve the mystery behind the town's misfortunes.

I recommend this book because it is about being a good neighbour and looking past differences to see the goodness in others.
