Jaslyn Cheng (Primary Four), Sacred Heart Canossian School Private Section

I have a pet red-eared slider turtle named Emmis. She is almost one year old. She was a present from my grandfather. When I got her, she was tiny. Fortunately, she has a good appetite and always finishes the food I give her. Now, she is almost as big as my palm!

Emmis likes swimming in her shallow pool. When she sunbathes, she stretches out her legs and closes her eyes. During feeding time, she gets excited. I think Emmis is very cute, and I love her very much!

My hobby is playing table tennis and other sports. Recently, my school held a basketball competition. It was great. Our team won third place, and I felt proud.

l like reading books, but some of them are boring. My favourite character is Hello Kitty, and I think she is cute. My birthday was the same day as a school trip, so I couldn’t celebrate with my family, which made me feel sad.

I want to be a teacher when I grow up because it is meaningful.

To be a teacher, I need to be smart and careful so that I can mark homework correctly. I also need to be patient because some students are naughty and I will also need to spend a lot of time marking homework. I also need to be attentive and caring so that I can take good care of my pupils. l have to teach them well or they won’t understand.

This job is suitable for me because I am attentive, caring, patient and smart.
