Karsten Wan Ho-ting (aged 8), St Paul’s Co-educational College Primary School

I love visiting Japan because it offers many delectable dishes like ramen, sushi and sashimi. Of these delicacies, my favourite is salmon sashimi.

Japan is also the home of manga. Two of my most beloved Japanese comics are Pokémon and One Piece. They are full of excitement and humour. When walking through the streets of Japan, I often encounter characters from these cartoons.

Moreover, Japan’s commitment to politeness makes it a special place. On trains, the Japanese maintain a serene atmosphere, speaking softly and ensuring cleanliness.

This is why I love Japan!

Faye Chan Pak (aged 6), St Rose of Lima’s School

I live with my father, mother and elder brother in Mong Kok. We have a small dog, and she is 13 years old. She likes to sleep with me, and when she wants to poo, she dances.

Last year, I was happy because I won a K-pop dance competition. I also had the chance to be the master of ceremonies at my kindergarten graduation. My most exciting experience was travelling with my family to the UK during Christmas to visit our friends.

Next year, I want to challenge myself.

Oliver Wong Chun-yin (aged 11), Dr Catherine F. Woo Memorial School

My favourite films are from the Harry Potter series. I like them so much, and I have watched them many times.

The story starts in the magical world. The infamous wizard Voldemort kills James and Lily Potter, but their baby, Harry, survives. The series is about what Harry experiences as he grows up in both the human world and the magical world.

I like these films so much because I enjoy learning all about magic.

Harry Potter films are universally well loved and Olver is a big fan as well. Photo: Handout
