Gloria Hau Tin-wai (aged 7), Renaissance College

I love sports, especially gymnastics. On the beam, I get to practise balancing. I also like doing vault. It keeps me strong, and I can overcome my fears.

I don’t like playing on the even bars because they are so tall. I love the floor the most because it helps me express myself. However, I still practice all four events and participate in competitions.

At first, I kept failing, but then I practised more than ever. After lots of training, I went to the finals and won a few medals. My hard work paid off!

Hilarie Kam Cho-yin (aged 11), Good Hope Primary School

My favourite K-pop group is (G)-IDLE. They debuted in 2018 and have five members from different countries. I wasn’t a huge fan at first, but after the hit Queencard, I became a fan of them. I blast their music on my headphones while on the street, and I don’t miss a single song from them. I find their music really energetic.

Unfortunately, I missed their concert in Hong Kong last year because I was at summer camp. However, this year, they are hosting another concert in the city, and I fortunately got tickets! I am looking forward to seeing them in person.

If you watch the news, you can see that many natural disasters, such as earthquakes and storm surges, are happening worldwide.

Luckily, we found the COPE books online. COPE is a not-for-profit organisation. They spread messages about disaster risk reduction to children and have books available in digital formats in many languages for anyone to use.

COPE also provides animated videos to accompany the books. They hope this will help more children learn about natural disasters.
