I was lucky to go on board the “Plastic Odyssey” during its 28th stop in Hong Kong on its journey around the world. Founded by Simon Bernard and Alexandre Dechelotte, this is a boat that travels the seas to educate communities about plastic pollution.
During the tour, I saw the machines the crew uses to process plastics collected at sea into furniture. My guide, Alaric, highlighted the urgency of plastic pollution.
The crew served us vegan food, decorated with a garland made from recycled potato crisp bags. I am inspired to use less plastic and educate my friends.

Last Easter holiday, my mum and I went to Dubai. The flight took about eight hours. We stayed at a hotel called Zabeel House.
On the first day, we went to the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa.
We also went to Ferrari World, which has the fastest roller coaster in the world. Then, we went to a desert on a four-wheel drive. That night, we had a barbecue and saw a fire show. There were people swinging fire, eating fire and spitting it out.
I had a wonderful experience in Dubai, and I wish I could go there again.

Living in Hong Kong feels like living in tropical and Arctic countries.
When you go outside, it is boiling, especially in the summer, but when you walk into a mall or building, it is freezing.
The air-conditioner uses a lot of energy and electricity, and it also emits harmful gases. When you turn on the air-conditioner, you also get an expensive energy bill.
I am not saying you should not turn on the air-conditioner at all; I suggest you use it responsibly.
