Last month, my school held its Information Day, where we had fun and learned much more about our school.

One of the highlight activities showcased the product of exploring our limitless imagination and creativity.

Prospective parents and students saw the spectacular outfits the seniors came up with through a fashion show.

One of the student designers stated that the inspiration was based on how our cruel reality affects the pursuit of our dreams.

The design was divided into two parts – one side showcased a smooth, silk-like fabric, and the other was made of easily torn and tarnished white paper.

This design captured how hopeless we felt during the pandemic, yet still, we were able to hold onto our dreams.

Another senior’s inspiration for her beautiful gown came from one of Taylor Swift’s albums, Lover.

The primary colours of this dress were purple and pink, making a bold choice of showing the model’s collarbone and shoulders.

The blooming flowers on the dress indicate confidence, and the butterflies represent freedom, another inspiration from fairy tales.

The main idea of this dress is to promote confidence in women, to be bold in their choices, and not be confined to the norms of society.

After hours of hard work, the long-awaited day came – it was time for the fashion show.

The stunning designs took their well-deserved time on stage, all with deeper meaning.

Many activities on Information Day took a long time to prepare for.

But the pride and enjoyment you got seeing the enthralled gazes in the audience’s eyes, proved to be more than worth it.
