Cassie Wong Yuen-sheung (Aged 8), Kowloon Junior School

One day, Cassie and Jooha were playing tag when Cassie suddenly tripped over a stone. Out of nowhere, a magic portal appeared, and the two girls were whisked away.

When they landed, they found themselves in a dark alley. As they stepped out, they encountered a fox.

The girls were startled when the fox spoke to them, but Jooha bravely asked if they could be friends.

The fox said softly, “Sure. My name is Lila.”

As they walked, the girls were so caught up in conversation with the fox that Cassie suddenly exclaimed, “Oh no! We’re lost in the forest!”

Jooha pointed and said, “Hey! There’s a bridge over there. Let’s cross it.”

Just as Cassie stepped onto the bridge, it broke apart. Quickly, Jooha pointed her hand to pull the pieces back together, while Cassie used her powers to glue it safely into place.

Lila gasped at the girls, not knowing what to say, exclaiming, “Wow! You guys are powerkeepers?”

The girls nodded in response.

As they continued their journey, Lila got lost.

“Where’s Lila?” Cassie exclaimed.

“She must have gone right instead of left when we told her,” Jooha replied.

As they walked further, they saw Lila. After hugging her, Jooha noticed a big gorilla charging toward them. She quickly blocked the gorilla from hitting Cassie.

“Let’s combine our powers!” Jooha suggested.

As they held hands, a bright light came from them, killing the gorilla instantly. Eventually, they found the alley where they had landed. They created a portal and waved goodbye to Lila as they headed home.
