I was placed on a bookshop’s shelf

No one would come and visit me

Until a girl came and took me

I smiled with utmost glee

I stood high with all my might

I could only sit still

Now I lie in a landfill

Surrounded by useless trash

But beside me was that TV

And within moments, I rose as ash
