Janice Adele Cheung (aged 11), Good Hope Primary School cum Kindergarten

Over the summer, I visited England for a school trip.

Highlights of our journey included exploring the charming towns of Letchworth and Royston, the breathtaking views from the London Eye, the serene beauty of a lavender farm and the historic steps of Warwick Castle.

One memorable day included walking through the lively streets of Chinatown, buying souvenirs, savouring pizza and watching The Lion King.

While the tears may dry and the laughter may fade, the priceless memories from this trip will remain etched in my heart forever.

Rachel Yu (aged 16), Gertrude Simon Lutheran College

I helped make a podcast episode exploring beauty and fashion trends. We encouraged listeners to discover their style.

Creating a podcast was more demanding than I anticipated. I learned that using copyrighted music without the appropriate licences can lead to legal issues; thus, we used royalty-free music. I also took time to familiarise myself with the editing software and choose effects to match our podcast’s style. But with help from my teacher and team, the final outcome was outstanding.

Making a podcast is a fantastic way to be creative while learning new skills.

My favourite animals are dogs since they are cute and fluffy. We can play with them too.

Some dogs can do tricks, such as shaking their paws. They show their love by licking us. Many dogs are active in jumping. Some can run quickly. They fetch sticks, balls or discs. You can give them a treat when they are good.

My favourite type of dog is the poodle because they are small, adorable and energetic. They look stylish because their fur makes it look like they are wearing bracelets on each foot.
