One time, I was upset about my grade on an assessment. My best friend told my other friends to give me space.
I liked her approach. She used her intuition. That means understanding something instinctively. After this incident, I also started using my intuition.
I understand that everyone has different reactions to events. This understanding is helping me develop empathy.
In this situation, I would have patted my friend on the back and said, “If you want someone to talk to, we’re all here.” Then, I would have let her be.

Moving countries feels like a journey to a completely different world. I went through this during the pandemic with my mother and sister.
My father told me he got a job in Hong Kong and we were going to live there. I couldn’t believe it! I didn’t want to leave my friends and family in South Korea. I was heartbroken and couldn’t keep my emotions in.
When I stepped out of the airport in Hong Kong, my mum said we had to go to a hotel.
My mum, sister and I stayed in this hotel for three weeks. We had to do a Covid test every day. It was the most difficult experience I have ever had.

I interviewed my friend Jazlyn about her favourite food. Jazlyn’s favourite food is chopped potatoes with sauce and Hainanese chicken rice. She likes it because she thinks it is yummy.
Jazlyn has also tried a food that she didn’t like: dragon’s eye, also known as longan fruit. She didn’t like it and said it tasted as bad as a real dragon eye. She thought the fruit was the most unusual food. She said it was disgusting.
