Gabriel Julien Ling (aged 10), French International School

I recently saw The Harvard Krokodiloes, an all-male a cappella group that performed in Hong Kong.

Each member wore a crisp white shirt under a tuxedo with a bow tie. They didn’t just sing; they also danced. My favourite moment was when one singer invited a girl from the audience on stage and serenaded her with a song. During the tea, we enjoyed sandwiches, tarts, scones and desserts. The mint jelly with flaky pastry was my favourite.

I had a wonderful time and hope they return. Maybe one day, I’ll sing in an a cappella group too.

Have you ever envied people achieving perfect marks on every test? You probably thought studying eight hours a day would do, but sometimes it’s about studying smart.

Repeated practice makes it easier to remember information. Always study a little every day because it makes it easier to process information. If you try to learn all the information at once, your brain might forget.

Also, remember to sleep so that your brain can transfer short-term memory to long-term memory. In other words, always study right before sleeping.

Rosy Siu Lok-yiu (aged 6), Christian Alliance P.C. Lau Memorial International School

I like travelling. I have been to Japan, Taiwan and Thailand many times.

Okinawa was so much fun. I went there with my parents and grandparents. There are many long slides in the playgrounds there. The playgrounds are so much bigger than the ones in Hong Kong. The food was so yummy. The cakes were the best.

When we were flying back to Hong Kong, the flight was bumpy.
