Zion Cheng Ho-yat (Primary Four), CCC Kei Wai Primary School (Ma Wan)

On March 21, my mum and my classmates joined an event called Amity’s “Walk for Living Water Walkathon and Carnival” in Central.

We played booth games such as puzzles, pinball games and mazes. We were happy to win prizes such as toy cars, sweets and biscuits.

Then, the walkathon started. I carried bamboo buckets filled with water and walked along the Central and Western district waterfront, which was about 2km. It was hard, but luckily I finished. I felt grateful because I learned the importance of water conservation.

Ella Saxton (aged 10), German Swiss International School

My favourite animal is a fox. They are cute and sneaky, and they have many more amazing character traits.

One time, I went to London to see my grandparents, and I really wanted to see a fox. Then, we went biking, and one was on the rooftop, staring down at us!

I wanted to learn more about a specific type of fox, the smallest on Earth and, to me, the cutest: the fennec fox!

Fennec foxes have large ears that help regulate their temperature in the hot desert. They live in the Sahara, relying on camouflage, thick fur and amazing hearing to thrive.

Kirsten Tam (aged 7), Kowloon Junior School

At taekwondo school, I learn steps, how to kick and punch, and how to show respect. I am a black stripe. Soon, I will do my black belt test.

Tae means kick, kwon means punch and do means art. I like taekwondo because it is a good physical activity.
