One day, a girl named Orchid was in the mall walking past the stores as they rushed to reveal their new styles.

“Oh, wow! This is the best dress I have ever seen!” Orchid said, stopping at one store.

But she looked at the price and gasped.

“This price is unacceptable! I must report this to the manager,” she thought.

Orchid marched over to a worker and said, “Excuse me, but your clothes are too expensive. Are you just cheating us for money? What kind of dress is this expensive? Look at the other stores! Look at their prices!”

The worker, named Kate, looked at Orchid with confusion and tried to calm her down.

“Ma’am, please calm down because we have other customers here,” Kate said.

Orchid responded: “Calm down? Fine, but only if I can speak to your boss.”

Kate brought Orchid to meet the boss.

Orchid came in and glared at the boss.

“Excuse me, sir. My name is Orchid, and I need to talk to you about the prices in this store,” she said.

“Hello, Orchid. Our prices seem fine to me, and the other customers seem OK with it too,” the boss said.

But when Orchid pointed at the window, the boss could see what she meant. Outside the store, he saw other people who were also complaining about his shop’s prices.

The boss responded: “Well, fine. I do suppose that the price is high. Let me just talk to the other staff about this problem.”

About five minutes later, Orchid looked at the adjusted price of the dress she wanted. She took the dress to the cashier and bought it.

As she headed out from the store, she reflected on the exciting day she had.
