I fell through a portal where the water tasted surprisingly sweet. There were trees with cinnamon-scented bark and bright leaves on top.

They whispered to me as if they were asking who I was. I was a bit thirsty, so I took some water and drank it. I was surprised because it tasted like candy.

I sat down and poured all the water out of my bottle to fill it with candy water.

The sky looked damp and cool. I set off for a walk, and a car whizzed by. I was tired, and I wanted a taxi. Guess what? After a few seconds, a speeding taxi came along and stopped.

I hopped on, and after a few minutes, we were in front of my home. When I got out of the taxi, the portal disappeared as fast as lightning.

The next day, I walked to the portal again. It was not whirling any more, and it was very dim.

I walked into the portal, but I ended up on the other side.

It left me a note that said, “I am the portal. I ran out of battery. Sorry.”
