[1] Want to make something cute and fun for Halloween? Try these easy no-bake Monster Truffles. They are essentially bite-sized Oreo cheesecake balls decorated with candy eyes and sprinkles. They are quick to prepare. You could make your little monsters any colour you want if green doesn’t suit you. You could even do batches in different Halloween shades. They’re almost as fun to make as they are to eat!
[2] Ingredients
-
1 pack of 396 grams of Oreos
-
227 grams of block cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup of finely chopped Snickers
-
½ cup of Reese’s Pieces, chopped
-
1 ¼ cups of white chocolate chips
-
2 tablespoons of coconut or vegetable oil
-
green gel food colouring
-
candy eyeballs
-
purple sprinkles
[3] Directions
In a food processor, pulse the Oreos until they become fine crumbs. Dump the Oreo crumbs into a medium bowl and stir in the cream cheese until it is well combined. Stir in the Snickers and Reese’s until they are well combined.
[4] Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into small balls. Place them on a prepared baking sheet and freeze until slightly hardened, about 30 minutes.
[5] In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate and oil. Microwave until just melted and stir until smooth, about 2 minutes. Stir 10 drops of green gel colouring into the melted white chocolate. Add more drops until the desired colour is achieved.
[6] Dip a frozen ball into the melted green chocolate until it is coated. Remove it using a fork, letting the excess melted chocolate drip back into the bowl. Arrange the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press an eyeball onto the top of a coated truffle and sprinkle the top with sprinkles. Repeat with the remaining frozen balls and melted white chocolate. Freeze until the chocolate hardens, about 15 minutes.
