What if your favourite cartoons grew and splashed into the Victoria Harbour? Giant towering inflatables of Doraemon, McDonald’s Grimace, The Monsters’ Labubu and a Kaws-style Elmo had been bobbing in the waters near Tamar Park in Admiralty since October 25, before starring in a special Water Parade on Saturday.

The AllRightsReserved crew – best known for the much-loved giant yellow rubber duck in 2023 – sent this “dream fleet” gliding across the harbour in two fun loops. SCMP photographers scouted the best vantage points to capture the fun.

Each character sat on a float, some of which were specially designed to match. Labubu clung to a pink doughnut while Doraemon sat on his favourite food, dorayaki. Photo: Eugene Lee
